I would like to share my experience with ARV-Auto driving school in Kaunas, specifically with instructor Edvinas Rutkauskas at the Centre branch. I was exchanging my Belarusian driver's license for a Lithuanian one. Since I had not driven for almost three years and had heard many stories about driving in Kaunas, I decided to take additional lessons to rebuild my confidence and refresh my skills before taking the Regitra exam. The first few lessons were positive. Edvinas provided useful information, answered my questions, and helped me get back behind the wheel. Unfortunately, communication and teaching quality noticeably deteriorated later in the course. One of my main concerns was the information I received regarding the license exchange process. Since I already possessed a valid driver's license, I did not need to pass the internal driving school exam. However, throughout the course I was repeatedly encouraged and pushed to take the school's exam. I would not have objected if I had been clearly informed about the requirements from the beginning. Instead, I was left confused about the actual procedure until the very end. I purchased a package of 10 lessons because I wanted additional driving practice. My intention was to use all paid lessons to improve my skills and keep the final lesson as preparation immediately before the Regitra exam. Instead, I felt pressure to allocate lesson time toward the school's internal examination process, which was not the primary reason I enrolled. Another issue was the instructor's attitude toward mistakes. Driving lessons are, by definition, a learning environment. Students attend because they are not yet perfect drivers and need guidance. However, when I made mistakes, especially in stressful situations or unfamiliar areas, Edvinas would sometimes raise his voice. In situations where I became confused and needed explanations, I would often receive criticism instead of calm instruction. There were moments when he simply told me to continue driving rather than stopping and explaining what had happened and how to handle a similar situation correctly in the future. I also found it difficult to obtain information about the vehicle itself. Questions about opening the hood, identifying different fluids, understanding vehicle controls, dashboard indicators, and other technical aspects were met with short responses, and I often felt that I had to insist on receiving explanations. The impression was that answering such questions was a favor rather than a normal part of instruction. Time management was another recurring issue. Lessons frequently started late because several minutes were spent talking with colleagues or getting coffee. At the same time, lessons often ended 10–15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Over the course of multiple lessons, this represented a significant amount of paid instructional time that I did not receive. During the final lesson, approximately 10 minutes were spent while Edvinas stopped to discuss car-related issues with another instructor. As a paying student, I believe lesson time should be dedicated to instruction and practice rather than conversations unrelated to the student. I was also disappointed by the response to a simple request I made before one of the lessons. I explained that when people raise their voice at me while driving, I become more stressed, lose concentration, and perform worse. Instead of taking this concern seriously, my request was initially met with laughter and what felt like passive-aggressive behavior. Although his attitude improved somewhat afterward, I found this reaction inappropriate. Another important concern is the quality of preparation for the Regitra exam. During my first Regitra exam attempt, I encountered a lane-changing maneuver within a roundabout that we had never practiced during any of the 10 lessons. I had specifically asked whether such situations could appear during the exam and whether we should practice them. The answer I received was essentially that it would not matter if I chose the correct lane. However, in the actual exam I needed to take the third exit, which required changing lanes inside the roundabout. In addition, several mistakes during the exam were related to turn signal usage. This was an area that received very little attention during lessons. At times, the instructor appeared distracted and occasionally checked his phone while I was driving, which may partly explain why these mistakes were not corrected earlier. I am writing this review not to attack any individual but to encourage the administration to pay closer attention to communication standards, respect toward students, lesson time management, and preparation quality. Students invest significant amounts of money and place their trust in the driving school. In return, they deserve professional instruction, accurate information, patience during the learning process, and the full service for which they have paid.

Antą kartą nesirinkčiau šios mokyklos ir nerekomenduočiau niekam, aišku, gal ir kitur nėra geriau, bet čia tinkamai iki galo neparuošia, visur taupo: automobilio būklė nekokia, nekoks bendravimas, važiavimas kartais anksčiau baigiamas kažkiek, nei priklauso ir t.t.

Laba diena man reikia instruktoriaus kada butu galima?

Огромное спасибо инструктору Раймонду за отличное обучение! Сдала экзамен на механике всего с двумя некритическими ошибками. Раймонд объясняет всё очень спокойно и понятно, свободно обучает как на русском, так и на литовском языках. Он действительно научил меня уверенно водить и идеально парковаться. Очень рекомендую Раймонда как отличного и надежного профессионала, с которым комфортно учиться.
